Ghost Architecture

YomaBarr Heavy, but not in the way caveman shit is heavy. Rather like you had a lucid dream when a ton of lead is attached to your legs - and still you fly.
Jono Schneider

Jono Schneider Holy fuck this shit is so massively heavy and full of deep spite that life even exists which I can totally relate to. Not even riffs, just massively everything that is heavy. Vocals are deranged over the completely shattered earth of their shit.
Metallurgical Fire
Metallurgical Fire thumbnail
Metallurgical Fire Your End takes all the heavy from whatever metal sub genres and melts it into a sword to eviscerate all other bands with. Mortician would fall to these guys. Nott and Convulsing? They’re great, but in terms of heavy Your End kills everything. Even MSW’s Hell albums will fall to this beast. I also have to say the lyrics on this album are a step up for the band and quite good. Favorite track: Side by Side in the Ashes.

1.
Beaten by silence Overwhelming emptiness but released I am from the dark The moons reflection in my eye Eyes are the night Dark and empty awaiting the daytime But winter solstice calls Rid of sunlight, I burgeon in this Oh longest night Snow threads blankets on the ground Oh longest night My nostrils freeze on this Oh longest night Temporarily eternal Rid of sunlight
2.
You came to me as I was A mighty tree destroyed by nature’s call Blackened by the earth Washed away with the tides You were what I wanted you to be The embodiment of pleasure Sleek and marvelous But so distant and agonizing You were a being, so virtuous and heavenly One that would turn the gears of time Destroy empires and flood civilization Yet locked into stone Leagues, both distance and men, were foes It was perceived as folly Only to look upon it, face it Seeking death as an afterthought Though like many before A shimmering memory only to fade Eaten by the wormhole of my conscious Regurgitated and buried under weathered earth Day by day observing your path Day by day flourishing together Day by day meeting our foes Day by day dying together
3.
Frosted tips cutting the air A steamed window like blurred vision I cannot see The fire burns out The snow will melt Wood becomes ash Frosted smoke, the smell of night From daily plight An escape By myself But not alone The wind serenades My tired ears I rest my eyes But never sleep Lulled by the singing owls I rest my eyes But never sleep I cannot see

5.
Walking with the black trees! I cast my shadow! I run with the ashes! Over the world in anger! With anxious screaming now we see That world in darkness drenched Some died shouting! Some died silent! The soul of the forest! It will catch us all through wire and wood! burn the world in anger! You should know the secret it's buried in the ground! Some died desperately! Some died suddenly!
6.
The Mist 05:00
Walk into the white mist which covers all darkness. The mist smells like despair! But it's really just nature calling. Calling me back into the quagmire! Where my soul once emerged! It wants to reclaim my power! Pick my bones clean and the bones be gone! Is it nature calling? Or is it my soul? My soul is screaming for release! No peaceful breath death in sight! Let it burn! Let it rot! Let it decay!
7.
We live in an undead state We see ruins around us and wonder what befell them We live separate lives but we are somehow connected Is there such a thing as coagulated consciousness? A mix of two beings’ minds melded into one? Two timeframes combined? I saw the red ribbon in your hair Not once but thrice You gave it to me eons ago, and I remembered Now we find ourselves atop the ruined chasm Desperately reaching out to grasp each other But time stands in our way While one died, the other lived on While one died, the other lived on Suddenly, the ruins spoke to us We saw each other We knew our names

"The word 'misanthropic' gets tossed around a lot with regards to extreme metal, but rarely do you encounter a band that sounds like they want to crawl out of your speakers and kill you as much as Your End does. They’re cut from the same twisted cloth as Portal and early Grave Upheaval, playing a combination of psychotic death metal and crushing doom. The difference here is that their sound is more concrete; it’s less a thorny tangle of of hideous noise, with a riff-driven approach that focuses on being as heavy as possible at any given moment. Ghost Architecture is intense, to say the least, and very much worth a listen if you’re into this brand of death-doom." – Toilet ov Hell
